Last July, a major press conference was held at Montreal’s Bonaventure Hilton hotel. Rio Tinto, an Anglo-Australian corporation trading on the London and Melbourne stock exchanges, was announcing details of a takeover offer for Alcan, a publicly-owned Canadian corporation.
Given the strict Securities and Exchange laws regarding this type of announcement, Solotech had to carry out the technical set-up in the hall while respecting an extremely high level of security, including encrypted communications during the preparations.
Simultaneous webcasting, a live teleconference with England, plasma screen projections, a video server for multiple projections, audio and lighting for the hall – everything was installed and operated flawlessly. The visual design, including the content for the video projections, was also produced by Solotech.
