Club 1234

Dancing on the Ceiling

The 1234 Club is smack in the heart of downtown Montreal. Up to 1,500 fans show up for gigs by famous performers and listen to music through a hi-tech sound and lighting system installed by Solotech to provide a fast-changing décor.

A cross-shaped aluminum structure on the ceiling houses several mobile LED spotlights which are capable of emitting the entire spectrum of colors. This multi-use venue also has a stage behind which an LED wall can be used to create an eye-catching backdrop during shows.

The club also has a very particular design feature which might have posed a problem: there is a bar at each side of the dance floor. A powerful sound system had to be devised which would focus the music at the centre of the room. The Dynacord Alpha system was chosen so that clubbers can order drinks without yelling their lungs out right beside their friends who are dancing their hearts out.
